The neighborhood of Santa Catalina is an old fishing district, due to its proximity to the sea. It is one of the neighborhoods with more character of the city, with low houses of 1 or 2 floors, which give it a special charm. It also has a very popular market, which gives a lot of life to the area throughout the week.

In this area are located many restaurants, bars and cafes, which with its proximity to the Paseo Maritimo, make it the ideal place to start the night before going on the move
Well, on Calle D’Aninbal, you will find El Perrito, a very interesting cafe and bar within the numerous offerings around you.

It is a small place, with only 5 tables inside, and four other very small tables on the sidewalk. Inside there is a lot of light, and there are 3 tables located in a corner with benches and cushions, comfortable and cozy.
The coffee is Lavazza, but what stands out is the menu of things to eat. You can enjoy Bagels with fresh cheese and salmon, fruit salad, quiche of the day or a mysterious dish called “the temptation of Jansson”. This last dish is of Swedish origin (since the owners are from there), and consists of boiled potatoes and anchovies with cream gratin.

They also have a whole assortment of homemade desserts: carrot cake, chocolate cake, banana, chocolates, … an authentic doom
